Grid, dot, isometric, hexagon, lined, handwriting, Cornell, music and calligraphy paper — set the spacing to the millimetre and print a sharp vector PDF.
💡 Print at Actual size / 100% so the squares come out exactly the size you chose — "Fit to page" shrinks them slightly.
| Paper | Spacing | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Metric graph paper | 5 mm | School maths and science outside the US, sketching |
| Quad ruled (US) | 1/4 inch (4 squares per inch) | US school maths, floor plans |
| Engineering paper | 1/5 inch (5 per inch), bold every inch | Engineering, technical sketches |
| Fine grid | 1/8 inch or 2 mm | Detailed drawing, pixel art |
| Large grid | 1 cm or 1/2 inch | Young children, number work |
| Dot grid | 5 mm dots | Bullet journals, lettering, planners |
| Isometric | 5 mm triangles | 3D drawings, game maps, technical views |
| Hexagon | 6 mm sides | Board-game maps, organic chemistry |
| College ruled | 7.1 mm (9/32 inch) | Note-taking |
| Wide ruled | 8.7 mm (11/32 inch) | Handwriting practice, younger students |

Choose your paper type and spacing, then print the PDF at Actual size / 100%. The lines are vector, so they print sharp on any printer; light blue or grey lines guide your writing without overpowering it. Need a stack? Set the number of pages and the pattern is reused on every page, so the file stays small.
Set the grid to any size from 1 mm to 2.5 cm, or in fractions of an inch — 1/4", 1/5", 1/8" engineering paper and more. Lines are placed to a hundredth of a millimetre.
Square grid, dot grid for bullet journals, isometric lines and dots for 3D sketches, hexagon for game maps, lined, primary handwriting, Cornell notes, music staff and calligraphy guides.
The PDF is drawn with true vector lines, so it prints razor-sharp at any printer resolution and the file stays small — even 50 pages of dot grid.
Classic light blue, quiet grey, green engineering, black, pink or any colour you like. Light lines guide your hand without fighting what you write.
A4, A5, A3, US Letter, Legal and Tabloid, portrait or landscape, with an adjustable margin so nothing falls into your printer's unprintable edge.

Choose Actual size or 100% in the print dialog. "Fit to page" or "Shrink to fit" scales the whole page down a few percent, so a 5 mm square comes out at about 4.8 mm.
5 mm squares are standard in most of the world; in the US the classic is 1/4 inch (4 squares per inch), with 1/5 inch common for engineering and 1/8 inch for fine drawing. Dot grid journals usually use 5 mm dots.
Isometric paper has lines at 30° and 90°, so cubes and boxes drawn along them look three-dimensional. It is used for technical sketches, 3D design ideas, game maps and maths lessons. The dot version is lighter and popular for bullet journals.
The page is split into a narrow cue column on the left for keywords and questions, a wide area on the right for notes during the lesson, and a summary box at the bottom you fill in afterwards. It is a well-known study method for reviewing notes.
Yes. Print as many copies as you like for school, home or work — no attribution needed.
In the US the standard is quad-ruled paper with 4 squares per inch (1/4 inch). In most other countries it is 5 mm squares. Engineering paper usually has 5 squares per inch.
Yes — choose Dot grid with 5 mm spacing (the bullet-journal standard), pick A5 or A4 paper and print as many pages as you need.
